Meet Our Team
Corey P. Gallagher, owner of Northwoods Veterinary Clinic, LLC, says his passion for veterinary science began when he started raising and breeding English Springer Spaniels and training them for field trials. His love for performance dogs is what drove him to become a veterinarian and is what continues to drive him to help owners, trainers and their athletes perform at the highest level.
A native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Dr. Gallagher attended the University of Minnesota - Twin Cities for his undergraduate studies, earning a BS in Chemistry in 1997. After college he worked as a research and development chemist for a pharmaceutical company. Then in 2006, he entered Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine graduating Cum Laude four years later with a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine.
Dr. Gallagher's areas of particular professional interest include small animal medicine and surgery, including orthopedic surgery. He has also taken part in short-term Christian veterinary missions to Nicaragua as a member of Christian Veterinary Mission. Professional organizations include American Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association and Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Gallagher is married to Kaethe Gallagher and has two children: Liam and Norah. At home, the family has two English Springer Spaniels named Jack and Orla that Dr. Gallagher enjoys hunting with and participating in field trials. He also enjoys spending time with his family, hunting, fishing, and being in the great outdoors. He is excited to be back in Wisconsin near family and being the owner of his own practice.
I took on the role of Office Manager when my husband purchased Northwoods Veterinary Clinic in 2011. I love the fact that every day is something new here; I am constantly learning and I take every challenge head on. I love being part of the Northwoods team in keeping pets healthy and happy and in promoting and strengthening the human-animal bond.
I have always been an animal lover. I grew up in the countryside of Hudson, WI always with a Springer Spaniel and cat by my side. I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Creative Writing from University of Wisconsin- Eau Claire.
My husband’s careers and schooling has taken us to many different places including Ohio, upstate and northern New York, central and southern Iowa and St. Kitts, West Indies but I am enjoying being at home in Wisconsin and getting to know the community here.
I enjoy playing with my kids, being outside, biking, reading and spending time with my family. I am a member of the Wisconsin Veterinary Practice Manager's Association.
I joined the Northwoods Veterinary team in May 2013. I received my certification as a Veterinary Technician from Madison Area Technical College in May 2012. Prior to that, I earned my Bachelor's degree from the University of Wisconsin River Falls in Animal Science. I have experience with small animals, large animals and even pocket pets; but still prefer dogs and cats. I have always had a passion for animals and wanted to choose a career that helped them in addition to educating owners on how to improve their pets' lives.
I am originally from the northwoods, Phillips, WI, and after traveling around for school, am excited to be living back up here in a nice, small-town community. We share our home with our 2 buff matching cats, Tanner and Penny, and our over-energetic English Pointer Jill.
I am blessed to be a part of the Northwoods Veterinary team. I grew up on my parents dairy farm near Suring. Since I was a little girl I knew I wanted to help animals. I decided to take my background of farming and went to Globe University in Green Bay where I received my Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology. During my time at Globe I learned what it means to be a Vet Tech: to work and take care of animals as well as educate owners on how to improve the lives of their pets. I love my job, I would not change anything about it. I look forward to meeting you and your pets!
I feel extremely blessed to be a part of the Northwoods Veterinary Clinic team. I have always been an animal lover. Growing up in Door County made it easy to form a passion for the outdoors, and my chocolate lab, Buster was always up for an adventure. I will be graduating with an Associate's Degree in Heath Care Business Services in spring 2017, with plans to continue on earning a Bachelor's in Health Care Business Management. I currently reside in Gillett with my husband, Brennan, and our daughter, Jillian. We will be celebrating the arrival of our first fur baby at the end of summer. We are getting a Golden Retriever, and hope to have her become a certified therapy dog.
I am very happy to be a part of the Northwoods Veterinary Clinic team. I grew up on a small hobby farm north of Suring. My grandparents were a very big influence in my life and introduced me to all kinds of animals on the farm and in nature. My grandfather was notorious for taking in strays and caring for all kinds of animals and he taught me how to as well. I grew up with all kinds of pets and I realize the significance that they have in our lives and how very important it is to take care of them.
I now reside in Gillett with my husband, David, and 2 sons, Eric and Mark. We have one dog that brings much joy to our lives. She is a Goldendoodle named Sophie. I am very active in our community with church and school events and enjoy all that Gillett has to offer. I look forward to seeing you and your pets as you come to our office for all of your pet care needs.
Rickie has been taking care of Northwoods since 2004. She works tirelessly to make sure our facility is always clean and odor-free for your visit. She makes it easier for us to enjoy our day caring for you. Rickie says, "I truly enjoy coming to work because I work with some of the most compassionate and caring people! Each day is different and I never know what each day will bring, it's never boring."
She shares her life with her 6 children, 12 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren. She loves her pets: 2 Pomeranians, Eddie and Timber, 4 cats, George, Kyara, Cleo and Tigger, 2 cockatiels and Squeaks the parrot!
